Eight Indian players including Zaheer Khan to take part in T10 League

After a successful first edition, the T10 league is back to produce some more exciting of cricket in the UAE. The second season of the tournament is all set to be played in Sharjah from the 23rd of November to 2nd December. Last year, Virender Sehwag was the lone Indian cricketer to take part in the league. However, this time around, the list of Indian names is all set to witness more additions.
The likes of Zaheer Khan recently retired Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, RS Sodhi, Subramaniam Badrinath and three more will be taking part in the league. Their inclusion might also attract more crowds and boost the TRPs. West Indian legend Chris Gayle and all-rounder Shane Watson will also be announcing their arrival to the T10 format.

Shaji Ul Mulk, the chairman of the T10 league was extremely pleased to confirm the recent developments. Zaheer is widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers to have played for India. Praveen Kumar and RP Singh have also played a reasonable amount of games and been at the helm for a considerable period.
“I am happy to announce that we have signed up eight Indian players to play in the second season of the tournament. This will encourage players from all over the world to join the T10 League movement and help popularize the 10-over format cricket worldwide in the coming years.” he was quoted as saying by The National.
The name of the other three Indian cricketers wasn’t revealed. Since Sony grabbed the broadcasting rights for the next 3 years, the games will be telecast live on Sony ESPN in India. The eight teams will be drawn into two groups with the table toppers reaching the semis and finals respectively. Kerala Kings had won the previous edition. Two new teams, i.e. The Karachians and the Northern Warriors have been added to the roster.
