Indian batters fail to make it big in the second innings
Speaking of the ongoing final Test match, India posted a whopping 416 runs on the board in 84.5 overs in the first innings before being dished out on the second day. While wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant scored a ton on Day one, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bagged his century on Day two. When the English players came out to bat, they too faced a batting collapse before Jonny Bairstow powered the innings to earn yet another century.
But India managed to restrict the hosts to 284 runs to maintain their lead. In reply, England dished out India in the second innings for 245 runs as Indian batters could not repeat the heroics from their first innings.
