India is up against England during the first Test of the five-match Test series which is up at Trent Bridge. Fans didn’t get surprised this time around when Indian skipper Virat Kohli had his jinx with the toss one again and stood on the losing end. Winning the toss, the Englishmen decided to take up their home field with the bat first.

Though there were some surprising things in the game, one more thing from the crowd section caught viewers’ attention. At first, one wouldn’t be attracted to the fact of one seat empty amid a group of four of five friends. However, when the story behind the same came up on the fore, fans were purely amazed. At Trent Bridge, there was a section of four-five friends that sat around an empty seat.

Later, one of the Twitter users added that a man named John Clarke hasn’t missed a game at the same venue in 40 years and now that he is no more, his friends buy an extra ticket to reserve a seat for him.

“Brilliant story about John Clarke, who hasn’t missed a game in 40 years in Trent Bridge. He has passed, but his friends have still bought his tickets and reserves a seat for him to watch. Lovely,” the user quoted.
