ENG vs IND: Frustrated Craig Overton tries to intimidate Cheteshwar Pujara after going for boundaries
Overton was not happy after conceding two fours earlier in the over.
The third day’s play between England and India is currently in progress with the visitors looking to make the most of the best batting conditions on offer. Cheteshwar Pujara especially has looked confident on the field moving his feet nicely. Not often he has been so comfortable at the crease in this series and the England bowlers, despite trying hard, have been at the receiving end.
One of the bowlers of the England pace attack in Craig Overton who hasn’t been able to sustain the required pressure on the batsmen. Pujara has been at the forefront of scoring runs against him and the 49th over was one such which left the bowler angry on himself and in frustration.
India’s number three scored two beautiful fours off Overton rocking on the backfoot which visibly left the latter irritated. What followed on the fourth ball made it clearly evident that England were getting nervous. Overton delivered a straighter delivery which Cheteshwar Pujara bunted back at him. The bowler fielded it and enacted as if he was going to throw the ball at the batsman.
Craig Overton was clearly not happy with himself for dishing out boundary balls in the over and Pujara was in no mood to miss out.

India openers grind hard in the opening session
The fact that the runs are coming easily for India is the result of some excellent batting from the openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul on the fourth morning. In overcast conditions, all of England’s pacers came hard at them but the duo remained patient through the session not giving away their wicket. It was a good delivery that got the better of Rahul but apart from that the batsmen have been solid.
Rohit Sharma is looking determined to play a big knock while Cheteshwar Pujara has batted proactively which has also kept the scoreboard ticking. India will be hoping to put up a big score on the board to put England under pressure.
