The 2nd Test between India and England saw tempers flaring up one after the other where players had a go at each other. In the same light, Indian skipper Virat Kohli didn’t mind having some on-field spats with the home players. The special one happened while James Anderson and Virat Kohli stood up against each other and exchanged some heated words.

In the same turn of events, a video went viral where Mohammed Siraj and Kohli were seen pointing towards James Anderson. As the ace pacer walked up the field during the second innings, Kohli and Siraj were seen putting their hands on the forehead, a probable indication of saying that Anderson should again be welcomed with a lot of bouncers.

It has to be noted that a spat flared up between Anderson and Bumrah when the latter delivered some deadly bouncers to stun the English pacer. The English team tried doing the same to Bumrah but failed big time as Bumrah and Mohammed Shami played innings of their lifetime at the Lord’s. The bowlers produced a great contest to add the cherry to the cake where Siraj himself picked a classy four-wicket haul as India wrapped up the hosts in limited two sessions. Kohli lauded Siraj who was playing his first Test at the Lord’s.

“But this one, to get a result in 60 overs is quite special. And especially with someone like Siraj playing for the first time at Lord’s and he bowled superbly. We decided 60 is our mark. Crucial breakthroughs with the new ball was the right start for us. Very happy with the support we got, especially when we’re playing away from home these things are very important. It comes a day later (after Independence Day) but it’s the best gift we can give.

“We’re not going to sit on our laurels after this match, five Test matches is our focus. Today that one was purely gut feel (the Robinson LBW review). I get many wrongs, but if you don’t take a chance you never know,” added Kohli after the match.
