ENG vs IND: Ravindra Jadeja uproots Haseeb Hameed with his spin magic
Ravindra Jadeja also sent back Moeen Ali.
India is up against England on the final day of the fourth Test of the five-match Test series. India are putting up their best foot forward to take away this match and take the series lead, ultimately. In due course of action, there was one wicket that stole all the limelight and it was Haseeb Hameed who was shown the way of the pavilion by Ravindra Jadeja.
It is a known fact that India are playing with their combination of four pacers and a lone spinner in form of Ravindra Jadeja. While England’s top order looked quite sturdy and adamant to score runs, Jadeja placed a brilliant delivery that hit the off stumps of Hameed and he has to return right away after scoring good 63 runs. He has been the highest scorer for England in this inning so far.
While it was stated earlier that the pitch will start turning on day five of the Oval Test, India still moved up without the services of ace spinner Ravi Ashwin. However, Jadeja was the only man on the field who could bring some light to the game with his spin and he rightly did so. Hameed was looking dangerous at 63 as he built a firm stand of 100 runs with partner Rory Burns who added 50 runs from his end.

Talking about the match currently, England are on the crease with skipper Joe Root and Chris Woakes doing the job. They are playing on 150 runs after losing their six wickets (at the time of writing). While England need 218 runs to take away this game, India need four wickets to go up in the series. Talking about Jadeja, he took one more wicket after Hameed as he sent back Moeen Ali.
Talking about India’s bowling artillery, Jasprit Bumrah and Jadeja have two wickets under their belts while Shardul Thakur is on the field with one success with the ball. It remains to be seen if India will be able to take the match from this point in time or the home side will pull it towards a draw or win.
