India is up against England in the fourth Test match of the series which is currently taking place at The Oval, London. After losing the toss, Virat Kohli and his men were asked to take up the field with the bat first but the decision didn’t actually go in their way. The guest nation started losing wickets in no time and were pushed on the back foot.

However, one moment in the match stole all the limelight and it was Shardul Thakur’s humongous six off Chris Woakes’ delivery. While Thakur was standing with Umesh Yadav on the other end, he played Woakes for a massive six in the long-on region that made every Indian fan talking.

Here is a look at Shardul Thakur’s extraordinary six

Talking about the match so far, India got wrapped up at 191 runs. Thakur got dismissed by Chris Woakes later and left the field after his well-made 57 off 36 balls. Apart from Thakur, only Kohli added 50 runs from his end and failed yet again to convert his innings into a big score. A lot was expected from Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant but they also failed, adding to their dismal run.

Talking about the team selection of India in the fourth Test, Thakur and Umesh Yadav got selected in place of Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma who got a niggle. Ravi Ashwin’s absence in the team got everyone talking and many big names across the world gave their opinion of the same. However, Kohli added that he chose Ravindra Jadeja to match up with four left-handers of England.

“I feel, you really have to manage Ravi Ashwin. The communication between the players and support staff has to be very transparent and I am sure Ashwin well understands the reasoning or logic behind this decision. Ashwin is also an experienced player and also a leader within this team. I think Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli will have a chat with him and make him understand the scenario. A good team and good team players always understand the bigger picture rather than focusing on themselves. I am sure Ashwin will understand and ‘accept’ this, which is very important,” said Laxman earlier in the day on Ashwin’s exclusion.
