ENG vs SA 2022: Where to Watch England vs South Africa on TV, Online, and Live Streaming Details
The series opener will be played at the Riverside Ground in Durham on July 19.
England are all set to host South Africa for a three-match ODI series commencing on July 19, Tuesday. While the hosts faced a major setback in the recently concluded series against India, the visitors will be playing their first ODI series since March 2022, which they lost against Bangladesh. Thus, both teams faced a 1-2 defeat in their previous ODI series and one would surely look to redeem it.
England recently concluded the ODI series against India on July 17, Sunday and they will be up against the Proteas in a short while. The English team showed some brilliant composure in the second ODI of the series, which they won by a huge margin of 100 runs. Thanks to Reece Topley who registered his career-best and match-winning figures of 6/24.
South Africa, on the other hand, faced Bangladesh in their previous ODI series. The Proteas won the second game of the series to level the scores after the visitors had taken a lead by winning the first game. In the crucial final fixture, South Africa’s decision of batting first backfired as they ended up losing all their wickets within 37 overs and could manage only 154 runs, which the visitors chased down with ease with nine wickets to spare.
The English top-order batters would look to strategize their game according to the conditions in order to stay and bat on the field for a longer time. Middle-order batter Moeen Ali looks to be in good touch alongside skipper Jos Buttler. Reece Topley will yet again be the player to watch out for. As for the visitors, Quinton de Kock, David Miller and Janneman Malan will be the key players alongside pacers Anrich Nortje and Lungisani Ngidi.
