England take embarrassing review despite Aaron Finch middling the ball
Australia have lost three quick wickets after opting to bat first.
England and Australia are currently involved in the second of the three-match T20I series in Southampton. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat first only to lose three wickets within the powerplay overs. However, the Aussie skipper Aaron Finch is going strong and seems to be the only hope for them to post a formidable total on the board.
Interestingly, the seventh over of the innings also saw him survive an lbw review. Rather, Finch was never in trouble and only England players thought that way which led to them taking the review. Adil Rashid was introduced to bowl soon after the powerplay ended.
He conceded a run off his first two balls and then delivered a loopy leg-break which Aaron Finch defended on the front foot. However, Jos Buttler and Rashid thought the ball hit the pad first and they appealed vociferously. They soon got indulged into a discussion with the skipper Eoin Morgan.
The three-man conference led to the hosts taking the review only to get embarrassed. The replays clearly showed that the ball had literally hit the middle of the bat and the on-field decision stayed eventually. There were all smiles in the middle but the decision led to England losing their review.

England strike early in the game
As far as the match is concerned, Australia lost David Warner in the first over itself thanks to Jofra Archer. Alex Carey was promoted at three only for the experiment to fail and even Steve Smith fell early. The visitors are in a must-win situation in this game and they will be eager to make a comeback. However, the onus is now on the skipper Aaron Finch and the middle-order which failed miserably in the opening game of the series.
England, on the other hand, will be looking to seal the series in this game itself and continue their good record in the ongoing home season.
