The five-match Test series between England and India has been a one-sided affair thus far in favour of the home team. The first match at Edgbaston in Birmingham was an exciting one, but in the end, the hosts prevailed and won by 31 runs. In the second encounter at Lord’s, Joe Root and Co spilled venom and brushed aside India by a humongous margin of an innings and 159 runs.

The third Test is scheduled to be played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. In six matches at the venue, India have won one and lost a couple. Their triumph came back in 2007 under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid. Back in 2014, they managed to draw the match Alastair Cook’s men. In the ongoing series, India are 0-2 down and need some herculean efforts to turn their fortunes around.

The bowlers haven’t disappointed, but the batters, barring Virat Kohli, have flattered to deceive owing to which they are in a precarious position. Yet another defeat will see the fate of the series getting sealed. In a bid to resurrect their wretched fortunes, they might resort to making some changes in the lineup. Nevertheless, toppling England won’t be a cakewalk by any stretch of the imagination.

Rain to play spoilsport?

As per reports in Accuweather, the players and supporters can breathe a sigh of relief for the reason that rain isn’t forecasted. Also, the temperature will hover around from 16 to 22 degrees throughout the day, which means that the atmosphere won’t be taxing for the playing teams. Moreover, there the cold breeze will make the ambiance even more comfortable for the cricketers.

Overall verdict

There will be a significant amount of cloud cover, however, they are presumed to be harmless. The Lord’s Test was hampered by heavy spells of rain that halted play for quite a few times. Most importantly, Virat and his men won’t want the conditions to be wet for the reason that they haven’t been able to adjust to soggy weather conditions.
