The fascinating Test match is currently in progress at the Edgbaston. England are literally tormenting the Indian batsmen with some exceptional swing bowling. Despite starting well, the visitors have found themselves in trouble thanks to the lacklustre show from the middle-order. Even India bowled well on the first day as Ravi Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers for them. However, Aakash Chopra has predicted Ishant Sharma to be the best bowler for the visitors over the five Test matches.
Ishant indeed bowled well on the opening day of the game but was unlucky not to pick wickets. He beat the bat constantly after taking the new ball and Keaton Jennings was also dropped off his bowling in the slips by Ajinkya Rahane. Eventually, he scalped his first wicket of the series by pinning Ishant Sharma in front of the stumps. He ended the first innings with the figures of 1/46 in 17 overs and would be expected to do well in the second attempt.
Aakash Chopra took to his official Twitter handle to predict India’s best bowler and also said that Ishant will scalp more than 20 wickets if he manages to play all the five Test matches. “Early Call—Ishant Sharma to have one of the most fruitful Test series in his career. 20+ wickets if he stayed fit. #EngvInd,” he tweeted.

India in tatters
As far as the ongoing Test match is concerned, England are all over India. Their bowlers have been bowling superbly and the ball is moving in the air. Virat Kohli is battling it out in the middle and he is being tested outside the off-stump consistently. They have kept him quiet from one end and the wickets are being nipped out from the other end. If it was Sam Curran in the first session to surprise them, Ben Stokes found his groove almost immediately in the second.
He sent back Rahane and Dinesh Karthik in back-to-back overs and reduced India to 100/5. Even Hardik Pandya was given out leg before and the review saved him. He was also dropped by Alastair Cook in the very next over. Things are looking ominous for the visitors and only Kohli can save them now.
