Kuldeep Yadav has once again foxed the hosts England in the ongoing first One-Day International in Nottingham. His superb spell of 3/9 in four overs has earned him a lot of praise from all the corners of the cricketing world. One of India’s best off-spinner, Harbhajan Singh couldn’t hold himself back from hailing the youngster and has predicted a five-wicket haul for him in the match.
Kuldeep has picked the crucial wickets of Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root so far which has left the Brits in tatters. He had caught them by surprise in the first T20I as well. The hosts were well placed after the first 10 overs at 71/0 after which the chinaman was introduced into the attack by the skipper Virat Kohli.
What followed was an abject surrender from the top order of England which also put the brakes on the run-scoring. He scalped Roy only off the second delivery of his spell who tried to reverse sweep him right away after which it was the turn of Root who misjudged the length of the ball and was caught plumb in front of the stumps. But the wrong’un he bowled to Bairstow was brilliant and then convinced his skipper to take the review.

Harbhajan Singh, who is currently in England covering the series for Sky Sports, was thoroughly impressed with Kuldeep Yadav as he threatened to run through England’s batting line-up once again. He predicted a five-fer to him with six overs to go in his spell. “Superb spell @imkuldeep18 on his way to another 5 for india.. #GameChanger #ENGvIND,” Harbhajan wrote in his tweet.
Currently, England is recovering from the blows inflicted by Kuldeep with Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler in the middle. Both have added 49 runs for the fifth wicket with their team’s score reading 154/4 after 29 overs.
