Indian skipper Virat Kohli has always been a fan favourite cricketer, both on and off the field. On the field, Virat has entertained his fans by scoring runs for his side in almost every game. Off the field, he makes sure that there is an interaction with his fans either through social media or in person. Wherever he goes, he has been treated by his fans with a delight and one will have to say that the 29-year-old treats his fans fairly.
He is admired not only in India but in every cricket playing nation around the world. Currently, in England the fans turned up in large number just to see him batting and if possible get an autograph from him. Earlier in this series, a video went viral on social media when almost everyone except Virat denied autograph to the lady standing beside the team bus. This speaks volumes about his character.
In the Third Test against the Englishmen, Indian team produced a firepower performance which eventually helped India make the scoreline look 2-1, though still in favour of England. In the seventh Test victory on the English soil, Virat was once again the star of the show, scoring 97 and 103 in the all-important encounter. The fact that he had suffered an injury during the previous Test make his effort on the field both with the bat even special.
In pre and post-match presentation when he mentions that he plays for his country, it’s not just words, he actually believes in it. After the conclusion of the third Test at Nottingham, a video is doing rounds on social media which shows that Virat Kohli was spending some time with his fans outside the Trent Bridge Stadium. There, a child, who must be an ardent fan was shouting, ‘Virat, picture please’, he was signing a few autographs on the other side and then he walked towards this kid took his phone and clicked a selfie.
