England will win the Test series 3-0 against Pakistan: Michael Vaughan

The England vs Pakistan Test series is in full swing and amid this, former England captain Michael Vaughan has made a remark that speaks about strength of the England cricket team. Vaughan believes that hosts can sweep the series against Pakistan despite missing star all-rounder Ben Stokes. Stokes pulled out from the team owing to some family commitments.

The all-rounder was part of the team in the opening Test between England and Pakistan that took place at Old Trafford, Manchester, where hosts clinched victory by three wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series. The duo is also set to lock horns in the T20 series at the end of this month.

Though Vaughan has been displaying great confidence on the English squad but accepts the fact about Stokes. The former batsman mentioned things referring to Stokes in a blog William Hill, “He plays a big, big role in that dressing room. Even though Ben Stokes is out I think England will be too strong. England will win the series 3-0, that’s my prediction,” added Vaughan

Michael Vaughan’s words of appreciation for Azhar Ali

The seasoned Test player, Azhar Ali is leading the Pakistan side currently who were quite sure of pushing the team towards victory, but heroics of Buttler and Woakes shifted the momentum entirely, and gifted England, the desired start.

“Azhar Ali is a young captain in terms of Test matches but an experienced player in terms of Test matches that he’s played. I think that was his chance to win a game overseas for the first time.”

Vaughan threw light on the idea that England might think to give rest to the veteran pacer, James Anderson in the 2nd Test against Pakistan.

“I’d be surprised if he plays back-to-back games, so I think he will be rested. Maybe Sam Curran will come in for him or Mark Wood,” he added. “Zak Crawley will probably come in for Ben Stokes.”

Though Ben Stokes will be missing from the final two Test matches, England will try its best to substitute the void in order to register series on their name. Ben Stokes recently became the no.1 Test all-rounder after displaying sheer classy skills during West Indies tour of England in the month of July.
