Tempers flared between the players during the clash between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. The cricketers in question were Ravi Ashwin, Tim Southee and Eoin Morgan. KKR were not happy with the DC batting duo, Ashwin and Rishabh Pant, stealing an extra run off the last ball of the 19th over. The ball had ricocheted after hitting Pant’s arm and the two batsmen took the run.
In the very next over off the first ball, Tim Southee dismissed Ashwin and also gave him a mouthful about stealing that extra run. The latter was clearly not impressed and gave it back and this is when Eoin Morgan came into the picture and things heated.
The animated Ravi Ashwin started walking towards the KKR captain only for Dinesh Karthik to push him back and play peacemaker. Meanwhile, former Australia cricketer Shane Warne has reacted on the matter and feels Morgan had full right to give it back to Ashwin as they should’ve taken that extra run.
“The world shouldn’t be divided on this topic and Ashwin. It’s pretty simple – it’s disgraceful & should never happen. Why does Ashwin have to be that guy again ? I think @Eoin16 had every right to nail him !!!!” Warne wrote in his tweet.

Ravi Ashwin dismisses Eoin Morgan for a duck
Clearly, Ravi Ashwin wasn’t happy with what transpired in the middle and was waiting to bowl at Eoin Morgan later in the game. The off-spinner dismissed the KKR captain for a second-ball duck and celebrated it in his face and he was pretty pumped up as well.
As for the match, despite stuttering in the chase, KKR eventually got home on a slow and tricky surface. They chased down 128 in the 19th over itself thanks to a calm knock from Nitish Rana and a blitzkrieg from Sunil Narine who won the Man of the Match for his all-round show in the game. However, more than the match, the incident that took place earlier in the game was more talked about.
