The ethereal love story of Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, apart from being a cricketer, is also a human being composed of blood and flesh. Like every other common person, even he has a personal life and needs his own space. The 28-year old cricketer has a gorgeous companion in Nupur Nagar. The duo has been in a relationship for quite a while after which they eventually tied the knots in Meerut on November 23, 2017.

It was also the same day when pacer Zaheer Khan and Chak de India-heroine Sagarika Ghatge entered wedlock. The couple threw a reception party at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi where his teammates like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma graced their presence. Recently, the medium pacer attended a chat show ‘Breakfast with Champions’, anchored by Gaurav Kapur and went down the memory lane.

“I know her since childhood. We used to stay in the same colony. We have known each other since we were 12-13 years old. Other thing was we stayed next to each other. It was like if I throw stone from my house, it will swing to her house. Parents took some time but they accepted,” Bhuvi said while reminiscing the earlier days of their love story.

“We never thought to ourselves that this was the right time but after our parents agreed, we just decided to get married. First 3-4 years, our parents had no idea about us. I didn’t say anything. They actually found out from someone else. It’s good they found out, I might have not had the courage to tell them myself as we Indians always end up finding a hack around things,” the seamer added.

Bhuvneshwar’s cricketing career has been illustrious and he is rated among the most competent bowlers in the country currently. However, he hasn’t had a smooth run in the initial part of the career when he had to wait a year to make a comeback in Indian colours after their dropped from the squad. Nevertheless, he hasn’t looked back ever since and has grown leaps and bounds.
