The last edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) was a major step forward for Pakistan cricket. Hosting the final of the second season was a huge boost for them as international cricket returned to the country after 8 long years. However, it was hit by match-fixing and several players and others were investigated and punished. The league though hasn’t suffered because of it. There is a host of foreign players playing in the Pakistan Super League.
The third season of the league, is to to be played around February 2018. Though the full schedule is yet to be announced, PSL will have a new team this year from Multan named the Multan Sultan. The last edition saw stars like Kevin Pietersen, Darren Sammy, and many others take part in the league. This year it gets bigger for PSL as many big names have agreed to feature in the list.
Evin Lewis, Chris Lynn join PSL
The domestic T20 league was a huge hit among the cricket fans. It witnessed some amazing games and the level of competition just got better with each game. However, it is gearing up to get even better. The PSL committee recently announced the signing of some new foreign players.
Angelo Mathews, Mitchell Johnson, Chris Lynn, JP Duminy, Evin Lewis, Imran Tahir & Rashid Khan are the players roped in for the next season of the tournament. All of them have a lot of international and T20 success on their back and will add to the excitement of the fans.
There are a bunch of foreign players who played in the PSL last year and they have confirmed their availability to the respective franchises. The listed seven players are new to the league and their signing was confirmed on Twitter. PSL Twitter handle tweeted about Chris Lynn and Evin Lewis.
