Faf du Plessis thrilled after a series victory over India
South Africa won the three-match Test series 2-1.
The hugely hyped and competitive series between the host South African team and the visiting Indian side was one of the most eventful one in the history of the game. Both the teams displayed some extraordinary brand of cricket in the three Test matches which was also acknowledged by the millions of fans all around the world.
Eventually, in the end, the Proteas side emerged as the deserved winners as they went on seal a spectacular 2-1 series win. On the other hand, the Indians also played some great amount of cricket in the series as their bowlers definitely stole the show in the African contingent.
Du Plessis delighted for his boys
The South African skipper Faf du Plessis was pretty much pleased after the incredible performance of his team throughout the Test series. In his recent Instagram post, the captain stated that it feels very good to win this series against a quality side like India and considering the major factor that the visitors are also holders of the No 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings. It was quite a remarkable achievement for the host nation in conditions which are pretty much known to them.
Faf du Plessis revealed that his team played in a great spirit in the entire three-match Test series and he is proud of each and every single member of the side for playing a crucial hand in the winning triumph.

South Africa did the job as a great unit
The hosts put up a stunning effort with some match-winning performances which eventually sealed the deal for them in the series. Their fast bowling attack was pretty much impressive and consistent which never gave any slight tip to the visiting team batsmen. New ball bowler Vernon Philander emerged as the leader of the attack and was awarded as the Player of Series for picking up 15 wickets at an average of 15.87. The South African batsman also played a crucial role in the series with each of them contributing in a significant manner.
