Marnus Labuschagne was run out without even troubling the scorers in the first innings of the second Test match between Pakistan and Australia at Karachi. Off the ninth ball he faced, Labuschagne hit the ball to mid-off and set off for a run.

However, a direct hit from Sajid Khan ended Labuschagne’s stay out in the middle. The batter was caught short of his crease and was dismissed for a nine-ball duck. Labuschagne is famous for shouting out ‘No run’ when he is batting.

And now, Labuschagne has taken to Twitter to post a picture of him sitting in the dressing room in a dejected mood. “Yep. fair to say that was no run,” tweeted Marnus Labuschagne.

Usman Khawaja sparkles on Day one with a superb century

Australia batted first in the 2nd Test match against Pakistan in Karachi and ended the first day with their scorecard reading 251/3. Opening batter Usman Khawaja was the cynosure of all eyes, as he scored a sparkling 266-ball 127* at the top of the order. The left-handed batter struck 13 fours and a six in his stay out in the middle.

Apart from Khawaja, opener, David Warner contributed 36 while batting maestro Steve Smith scored a sedate 72 off 214 deliveries. Smith put on a mammoth stand of 159 runs for the third wicket with Khawaja to put Australia in a commanding position at the end of the first day.

With the ball, Hasan Ali and Faheem Ashraf scalped one wicket each. While Ashraf accounted for the wicket of opening batter Warner, Ali removed Steve Smith. The three-match Test series between the two sides is currently locked at 0-0. The 1st Test match at Rawalpindi ended in a drab draw. The pitch also came under a lot of scrutiny for having no help for the bowlers as the batters made merry. As many as four centuries were scored in the 1st Test, and only 14 wickets fell over the course of five days.
