A plethora of cricketers celebrate their birthdays on December 06. From former seam and swing specialist RP Singh to current incumbent Indian No.4 Shreyas Iyer to dynamic all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to triple-centurion Karun Nair, everybody is celebrating their birthday on December 06.
And, it was only natural that fans, pundits, former cricketers, compatriots, opponents, and cricket websites from across the globe are taking to social media to post congratulatory posts, records, achievements and photos of the respective cricketers. Ravichandran Ashwin also joined the bandwagon to wish those who had their birthdays today.
The ace spinner took to Twitter to wish the troika of Rudra Pratap Singh, Shreyas Iyer and Karun Nair on their respective birthdays where he termed them as “cricketing triplets”
Ashwin wrote, “Wishing the cricketing triplets born on the same day a very happy birthday. This day must have been marked for greatness back then 😂👌 @rpsingh @ShreyasIyer15 @karun126.” However, one fan even went on to troll Aswhin over ‘deliberately’ skipping Bumrah’s name. The account asked, “ignored bumrah because of champions trophy no ball and jadeja because he overshadowed u ?”
However, Ashwin didn’t this pass by. The off-spinner who has carved a niche for himself courtesy his witty replies and cheeky banter had just two words for the question, “So Lame”.
So lame.

Jasprit Bumrah is expected to return in the New Zealand series
Speaking of Bumrah, if there is a cricketer who you would like to wrap up in cotton, dispose on a safe island and only use him when the situation demands, its gotta be Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah with his unorthodox action, precious skills and a gobsmacking mastery over his art coupled by the constant drive in pushing the envelope as far as his skill set is concerned, has become a national treasure.
Bumrah is currently on a comeback trial following his injury and is slated to be back in India colors for the upcoming New Zealand tour. The Indian bowling spearhead was recently in the news thanks to former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq’s obnoxious comments where he termed Jasprit as a ‘baby bowler’
