Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar is fondly regarded as the ‘God of Cricket’ and is one of the biggest superstars of the cricket world even after seven years of his retirement. Tendulkar is treated no less than a demigod in India and someone degrading the legend or not knowing about Sachin triggers his fans easily.
A similar kind of incident had happened a few years ago when the self-proclaimed fans of Sachin Tendulkar had brutally slammed the Tennis star Maria Sharapova after she admitted that she did not know who cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar was. Many had hurled abuses at Maria and had spammed her Facebook page.
However, now the tennis star again made headlines as the Tendulkar fans were back on her Facebook page but this time with apologies. Hundreds of people again spammed the comment section of Maria’s latest post on Facebook and apologized to her for carrying out a cyberattack on her and degrading and demeaning her.
Sachin Tendulkar tweet on the ongoing Farmers’ Protest angers his fans
This reaction from the fans came after Sachin Tendulkar joined in the ‘India against propaganda’ hashtag on Twitter and criticized International Pop star Rihanna for tweeting in support of the ongoing farmer’s protest in India. The cricketer was of the view that this is an internal matter of India and the government is capable enough to solve it.
Sachin reckoned that people outside the country are trying to divide us and urged Indians to stay together during these tough times. On Wednesday night, January 3, Sachin expressed his views on the ongoing farmers’ protest via his official Twitter handle.
“India’s sovereignty cannot be compromised. External forces can be spectators but not participants. Indians know India and should decide for India. Let’s remain united as a nation,” Tendulkar said in a tweet.
