The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) got underway last week and only a few matches have been played. Teams are still getting their combinations set as we make slow progress into the tournament. All the team owners are making their way to the stadium for the initial games to support the team. Shah Rukh Khan was also present at the Eden Gardens for their opening game against Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Knight Riders squared off against the Royal Challengers in their first home game a couple of nights ago. RCB had a forgettable outing as they lost the game to the home team quite easily. However, the internet seems to have forgotten the result of the game and a picture of Virat hugging Shah Rukh has become the talk of the town.
Fans have widely circulated the picture on Twitter and expressed their excitement. A fan wrote, “Aaaww how sweet the matter of fact is, the Adorable & Sweet relation you share with him @iamsrk Hehe Virat Jiju is getting pampered with a consolation prize which is way more than any other prizes, your tight hug. ‘Priceless’, ‘favourite’ and ‘best picture’ are some of the words used by fans to describe the moment shared by the two legends.

After the match, Kohli admitted that his team were 15 runs short against the Knight Riders. Brendon McCullum (43) and AB de Villiers (44) were the top scorers for Bangalore, while Mandeep Singh (37) and the skipper (31) too contributed with the bat as RCB posted a decent 176-7.
Sunil Narine gave Kolkata a flying start with a 19-ball 50 and Nitish Rana (34) and new skipper Dinesh Karthik (35 not out) scored crucial knocks as KKR overhauled the target with 7 balls to spare. Part-time off-spinner Rana (2/11) picked up Kohli and De Villiers in successive deliveries and R Vinay Kumar (2/30) scalped two wickets each for KKR.
