Former India captain and one of the icons of Indian cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is currently on a trip to England where he also celebrated his 41st birthday on July 7. He was spotted watching one of the Wimbledon Championship games at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. He also recently marked his attendance for the second ODI between England and India at Lord’s in the ongoing three-match series.
Recently, a video of MS Dhoni being chased by fans trying to click a selfie with him in the streets of London has gone viral on social media. Dhoni was surrounded by a number of fans who were chanting his name and also had their phones out, trying to get a picture with the Indian superstar. He was eventually escorted safely by two men to his car before he left the place.
MS Dhoni retired from all forms of international cricket in 2020 and has been active with his Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ever since. He also travelled with the India squad to UAE for the T20 World Cup in 2021 as the team mentor. He is also one among several other former India cricketers in England such as Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh.

India vs England series levelled at 1-1
The ongoing ODI series in England is all square at 1-1 and the decider, which will be played on July 17, Sunday in Old Trafford, Manchester. India won the first match by 10 wickets after a strong bowling display by the Indian fast bowlers. Bumrah led the pack, picking up six wickets for only 19 runs in 7.2 overs with three maiden overs.
England were bundled out for 110 in 25.2 overs. Those figures by Jasprit Bumrah were his career best and also the third-best overall by an Indian in ODIs. Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan chased down the small target of 111 in only 18.4 overs. England responded strongly in the second ODI as they won by 100 runs, courtesy of yet another strong pace bowling display, this time by Reece Topley. He picked up six wickets for 24 runs in 9.5 overs. The decider promises to be a thriller of a contest at Old Trafford.
