Fans shower AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli's poster with milk
The duo is the batting lynchpin of the RCB franchise in IPL.
There is little denying the fact that cricket is treated nothing less than a religion in this cricket-crazy nation while the cricketers are treated like demigods. So the fans going the extra mile to show their adulation for their beloved cricketers are usual scenes. But the recent incident that happened in Karnataka is bound to surprise even most of the Indian cricket fans. Ahead of the 12th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the fans were seen giving a milk shower to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) duo Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.
The sight was witnessed in one of streets in Guntur as the fans made it clear how popular Kohli and De Villers are in that part of the world. Both of them are the lynchpins of the franchise for a long time now. While Kohli is with the team since 2008, evolving from a rookie to one of the best batsmen of all time, the retired South African has been the batting mainstay of the team since joining the franchise in 2011.
The video of the fan showering the picture of two cricketers is going viral over the internet. It seems like the milk shower was the fans’ way of wishing AB de Villiers on his 35th birthday. The former South Africa skipper celebrated his birthday on Sunday. The fan started the milk shower with Kohli and then moved on to the birthday boy only to later return and pour the rest on the India skipper.

Royal Challengers Bangalore eye first title
Despite having some of the best players at their disposal throughout, the Bengaluru-based outfit has never managed to lay its hands on the coveted IPL trophy. They had qualified for the final thrice but ended up on the losing side every time. Last year, they had a disastrous season. They managed to win just 6 of the 14 games and ended up at the 6th position in the eight-team competition.
