Andries Gous played a fine knock of 95 runs off 50 deliveries for the Knight Riders and remained unbeaten. He helped the team reach the target of 165 runs in 17.4 overs with six wickets in hand.

MI took on the Gulf Giants in their previous outing, where the Giants elected to bowl after winning the toss. MI posted a total of 162 runs, with the help of Nicholas Pooran’s 51 runs off 28 deliveries and Tim David’s knock of 41 runs off 15 deliveries. In response, the Giants struggled to maintain momentum. Jamie Overton's valiant effort with a 41-run cameo wasn't enough as Fazalhaq Farooqi's crucial wickets and disciplined bowling from MI led to their victory. The Giants fell short, scoring 161 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs, giving MI their first win of the season.
