Deol made 61 runs at a strike rate of 184.85, including nine fours and two sixes. The Tigers had a shaky start to their chase, losing four wickets by the end of the second over. But a solid 49-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Shakhawat Hossain and Jahid Hassan helped the Tigers reach the target in 9.2 overs.

Qalandars also squared up against the Royal Kings in their previous game and elected to bat after winning the toss. They managed just 81 runs for the loss of eight wickets in ten overs, and only two batters could make a double-digit score. Rauf Zaman was the pick of the bowlers for the Royal Kings as he picked four wickets for 21 runs in two overs. Royal Kings lost a couple of wickets, making the target a daunting task. But Jasdeep Singh helped the team cross the line with his innings of 24 runs off 16 deliveries. The Royal Kings won the game by three wickets in 9.4 overs.
