Adelaide Strikers Women (AS-W) will be hosting Sydney Sixers Women (SS-W) in the third match of the Women's Big Bash League 2022 (WBBL) tournament at Harrup Park in Mackay on Saturday. Adelaide Strikers finished the group stage round in the fourth position with seven wins from 14 matches and lost against Perth Scorchers in the final by 12 runs. They are looking very strong with the new signings of Deandra Dottin and Anesu Mushangwe.
Sydney Sixers, who finished in the last position in WBBL 2021, won the opening match against Brisbane Heat with Matilan Brown smashing six when needed five runs from the last two balls. Brown took three wickets and captain Ellyse Perry grabbed two to restrict Brisbane to 141/8 while bowling first. Then Perry and Erin Burns smashed the fifties to guide Sydney Sixers to a four-wicket win with a ball remaining. The Sixers have won only two out of five matches against the Strikers but are favorites to win on Saturday.
