Australia (AUS) will be up against West Indies (WI) in the 1st ODI of the West Indies tour of Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on February 2. Australia seems to be in fantastic form in the recent matches in this format as they have simply been unbeatable. West Indies, on the other hand, have been fighting well as they have won three of their last five matches.
Australia had squared off against India in their last game, where Australia won the toss and elected to field. Owing to the brilliance of Rohit Sharma, India started well but initial wickets stopped the run-flow. There were a couple of good knocks from different players but still, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They were only able to put up a total of 240 runs on the board. Australia, in reply, lost three wickets early and looked in trouble but Travis Head in partnership with Marnus, pulled them out of the mud which led them to winning the game by six wickets.
West Indies played against England in their last match, where West Indies won the toss and elected to field. The match was reduced to 40 overs a side due to the rain and England started horribly keeping the conditions in mind. The lower order tried to save the face for them as they took the team to 206 runs. The rain arrived again and the revised target was 188 runs in 34 overs. After losing a wicket early, the Windies quickly brought themselves back to the senses and put up great partnerships. With 14 balls to spare, they won the game by four wickets.

Player Picks
Steve Smith AUS | BAT
Smith would be leading the Aussie side and can be a wise choice for captaincy roles in your team as well. He has amassed 5356 runs from 155 matches in his ODI career.
Travis Head AUS | BAT
Travis has been absolutely the biggest match-winner in this format for the Aussies in the last couple of months. His blazing-hot form makes him the best choice for leadership roles.
Marnus Labuschagne AUS | BAT
Marnus has been playing some of the most crucial knocks in this format recently. He has scored a total of 1630 runs with an average of 37.90 from 49 ODIs.
Shai Hope WI | WK
Hope has been the most consistent batter for his side and averages more than 50. He has raked up a total of 5132 runs and can be one of the most important picks.
Adam Zampa AUS | BOWL
Zampa is the match-winner for the Aussies with the ball as he spins the web around the batters. He has scalped 165 wickets playing 96 matches in his career.
Alzarri Joseph WI | BOWL
Joseph has been doing a fantastic job for the Windies as he has picked up 108 wickets from just 66 matches. He can play some shots really well and has scored over 400 runs.
Josh Inglis AUS | WK
Inglis is an aggressive player who can turn the game around on his own and has been in fantastic form recently. He has smashed a total of 302 runs from 18 games playing in the middle order.
Alick Athanaze WI | BOWL
Making his debut not very long ago, Athanaze impressed everyone with his grit and the kind of performances he played. He can be a good budget pick in your fantasy team.
Cameron Green AUS | ALL
Green is an immensely talented player and the whole of Australia knows this. However, he has not been able to convert those into results lately and would be looking forward to this series for the same.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Xavier Bartlett
AUS | BOWL
Xavier might not be able to find a place in the playing XI and so it does not make sense putting him up in your fantasy team.
Matthew Forde
WI | BAT
Forde has not been in too great of a form recently. He can be left out of your fantasy team.
