Australia (AUS) will be up against the West Indies (WI) in the first Test of the West Indies tour of Australia at the Adelaide Oval on January 17. Australia seems to be in good form in the recent matches in this format as they have won three of their last five games, while West Indies have struggled as they have won just one from their last five.
Australia had played against Pakistan in their last game, where Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. Pakistan started horribly, losing both their openers on ducks, but a fight from the lower middle order saved the day for them as they reached 313. Australia, too, did a fair job with the bat as they were bowled for 299. However, Pakistan could not repeat the heroics of the first innings as none of the batters found form, and they were bowled out for 115. Australia had no problems in chasing down such a small total as they won by eight wickets.
West Indies had squared off against India in their last encounter, where West Indies won the toss and elected to field. India decimated the West Indies with several batters playing fabulous knocks. They posted a huge total of 418 runs while, in return, the West Indies could only score 255. India again batted well in the second innings as they scored 181 and declared the innings, setting a target of 365 for their opponents. The West Indies were in a decent position of 76 runs for the loss of two wickets, and that is when the rain favored them, with the entire day five getting washed out and the match ending in a draw.

Player Picks
Steve Smith AUS | BAT
Smith would be seen in a new role of opener now for his side but is confident to ace it as well. He has too good a track record in this format for you to look away for captaincy roles in your team.
Marnus Labuschagne AUS | BAT
Marnus has been walking in his idol Steve Smith's footsteps and has fabulous stats. He has smashed 3996 runs at an astonishing average of 52.57 in 46 games.
Mitchell Marsh AUS | ALL
Marsh has been in sensational recent form as he won his team the game in the last game. His contributions with the bat and the ball make him an ideal choice for leadership roles.
Travis Head AUS | BAT
One cricketer who has been riding the wave of form across formats in the last more than a year has simply been Travis Head. It would not be a wise decision to leave him out of your fantasy teams.
Nathan Lyon AUS | BOWL
Lyon is an absolute legend of the game as he recently joined an elite list of bowlers with more than 500 wickets. He can make some important runs down the order as well.
Kraigg Brathwaite WI | BAT
Brathwaite has been leading his side from the front with his performances. He has scored 5479 runs and has scalped 29 wickets in 87 matches in his career so far.
Mitchell Starc AUS | BOWL
A lethal swinger of the ball with the aid of left-handedness, Starc is an absolute beast. He has taken away 345 wickets while scoring 2011 runs with the bat too.
Josh Hazlewood AUS | BOWL
In the art of bowling consistently at the same place, Hazlewood has been the disciple to McGrath for the Australian team. His consistency makes him the most dangerous bowler of the pack.
Alick Athanaze WI | BOWL
With only two games to his name, Athanaze had impressed everyone with his game in the previous series against India. He could be the coming-of-age talent for the West Indies.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Tevin Imlach
WI | BAT
Imlach has not been in too great of a form and can be left out from your fantasy team.
Zachary McCaskie
WI | BAT
Zachary should not find a place in your fantasy side due to his lack of consistency in his performances.
