Afghanistan A will lock horns with Bangladesh A in the 9th match of the ACC Men’s Emerging Cup 2023 at the P Sara Oval in Colombo on July 18. Afghanistan have played two matches so far where they have won both and lead the table in Group A. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have played two matches as well but have won and lost a match each. They are placed in second position in Group A.
Afghanistan A had squared off against Sri Lanka A in their last match, where Sri Lanka A won the toss and elected to field. Being put to bat, Afghanistan had lost a wicket early, but a fabulous second-wicket partnership brought them back into the game. It was further strengthened by the third-wicket partnership and they posted a good total of 252 runs on the board. Sri Lanka did not start well and went further worse as overs passed by. They were down to seven wickets by the time they scored 102 runs, but that is when Minod Bhanuka started playing a counter-attacking innings, scoring a brilliant century, but the team was bundled out for 241. Hence, Afghanistan won the match by 11 runs.
Bangladesh A had played against Oman A in their last match, where Bangladesh A had won the toss and elected to field. There was a vast gap between the two teams, which was evident in the match. Oman had a horrible start which they could never recover from, and were bundled out at a mere total of 126 runs. Several of their batters had got starts and had scores in 20s, but none of them were able to take it forward. Bangladesh had no problems in chasing the total, and it required them just 16 overs to do so. Bangladesh A had won the match by eight wickets.

Player Picks
Ibrahim Abdulrahimzai AFG A | BOWL
Ibrahim has been sensational in this tournament, leading the wickets chart by far. He has picked up seven wickets at an economy of 4.63 in just two matches and should be the one to lead your team.
Tanzid Hasan BAN-A | BAT
Tanzid has been top of his form this tournament, having already scored 119 runs in last two games. He has slammed two back to back fifties and definitely qualifies to be your captain.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Shahidullah Kamal
AFG A | ALL
Kamal has played both the matches for his team but has been able to score just 68 runs so far. He should not be picked up in your team.
Akbar Ali
BAN-A | WK
Akbar has played both the matches but has not been able to contribute anything to the team. He should be dropped from your team.
