Baltimore Royals will take on Seattle Thunderbolts in the first match of the Super Eight stage of the Minor League Cricket 2024 on Tuesday, October 1, at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas. The Royals finished in first place in the Southern Division after winning four out of eight games. However, the last three games were abandoned and the Royals ended the group stage in first place. In their last completed game, the Royals defeated Ft. Lauderdale Lions by 62 runs after posting a total of 173 runs for the loss of five wickets. Kunwarjeet Ballagan was the highest scorer for the team and made 90 runs off 55 deliveries. He won the Player of the Match award. It is the first time that the Royals have made it to the playoffs of the Minor League Cricket.

The Thunderbolts started their campaign with a loss as well to the East Bay Blazers. However, this didn’t have any effect on the team’s morale as they went on to clinch a win in their next six outings. They fell short in their last game against the Los Angeles Lashings. The Thunderbolts were bundled out for 157 runs in 19.3 overs while chasing the target of 174 runs against the Lashings.
