However, Pakistani spinners controlled the game well in the middle overs as they contained the scoring rate significantly, due to which Bangladesh could only score 120.

Then, they had a comparatively better partnership for the second wicket, but the rate at which the runs flowed was very slow. They kept losing wickets one after the other, and Bismah Maroof was the only batter who stayed on the crease for a while. The lower-middle order did score some important runs, but it proved to be too little too late as they still remained short of the target by 20 runs.
