The Kings won their first game against India Capitals by three wickets. They chased down the target of 229 runs in 19.2 overs with the help of Irfan Pathan’s knock of 65 runs off just 19 deliveries. The Giants lost their first game against the Manipal Tigers by 10 runs. The Tigers posted 173 runs for the loss of eight wickets on board.
