They mounted a mammoth total of 211 runs on the board. Kings needed to start well if they wanted to chase this total down, but they were unsuccessful in doing so. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals, which stopped the run flow, and they lost the match by 89 runs.

Southern Superstars squared off against Manipal Tigers in their last game, where Manipal Tigers won the toss and elected to bat. Tigers were slow in their start and even lost a couple of wickets to make things worse. They failed to make significant partnerships throughout their innings. They kept losing wickets regularly and could only make a total of 124 runs. Superstars, in return, had a cautious start as they did not score too many runs but did not lose wickets either, which proved to be beneficial for them later on in the innings as they won the game by five wickets.
