Barbados Royals will face Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 16th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2024 on Sunday, September 15, at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The Royals have won three out of four matches so far and are in second place. Amazon Warriors are the only undefeated team this season and have won all three matches.

The Royals lost their previous game against the Trinbago Knight Riders. The Knight Riders chased down the target of 157 runs in 19.5 overs with two wickets in hand. Skipper Rovman Powell was the highest scorer for the team and remained unbeaten on 59 runs off 38 deliveries. Maheesh Theekshana was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for 26 runs in four overs. It was the first defeat for the Royals this season.

Amazon Warriors defeated Saint Lucia Kings in their last outing by six wickets after chasing down the target of 101 runs in 10 overs with six wickets in hand. Gudakesh Motie took three wickets for just 16 runs in 3.3 overs and won the Player of the Match award. Imran Tahir, the skipper, also took three wickets. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the highest scorer for the Warriors and made 47 runs off 19 deliveries.
