Comilla Victorians (COV) will face the Khulna Tigers (KHT) in the 23rd match of the BPL 2024 on Wednesday (February 7) at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. The Victorians took on Chattogram Challengers in their last match and elected to bowl after winning the toss. The Challengers were bundled out for just 72 runs in 16.3 overs. Only two batters managed to make a double-digit score. Tanvir Islam was the pick of the bowlers for the Victorians and took four wickets for 13 runs in four overs. Towhid Hridoy scored 31 runs off 13 deliveries for the Victorians and helped them reach the target of 73 runs in 9.2 overs. Islam won the Player of the Match award for his bowling performance.
The Tigers’ last outing was against the Fortune Barishal, where the Barishal elected to bowl after winning the toss. Parvez Hossain Emon, Mohammad Nawaz, and Faheem Ashraf scored 30-plus runs each for the Tigers. They posted a total of 155 runs for the loss of eight wickets. The Barishal reached the target of 156 runs in 19.4 overs with five wickets in hand. Faheem Ashraf was the pick of the bowlers for the Tigers and took three wickets for 18 runs in four overs.
