Player Picks
Mustafizur Rahman CSK | BOWL
Making his debut for Chennai Super Kings, the Bangladeshi bowler picked 4/29 from his 4 overs. It was an inspired spell of bowling from a player who has been dealing with several injury setbacks. The old Mustafizur Rahman was visible with his clever bowling and accurate changes of pace.
Sai Sudharsan GT | BAT
The Chennai lad comes back to his home town with the Gujarat Titans side. The left-handed batter scored an impressive 45 from 39 balls with 3 fours and a six against the Mumbai Indians side. That knock was the biggest reason behind Gujarat being able to post 168 runs on the board.
Rachin Ravindra CSK | ALL
After his amazing debut during the ODI World Cup 2023, young Rachin Ravindra was in good form during his IPL debut against RCB. The left-handed batter stroked 37 runs from just 15 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. This helped CSK get off to a good start and eventually win the game.

Tushar Deshpande
CSK | BOWL
Figures of none for 47 from 4 overs isn’t the ideal start to the season for the CSK pacer. On a good batting pitch, he was taken to the cleaners by Faf Du Plessis in particular. Chennai fans and Ruturaj Gaikwad will hope for a better performance in the next match.
Umesh Yadav
GT | BOWL
India’s veteran pacer, Umesh Yadav was taken for 31 runs from his 3 overs with the ball. Despite picking Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla, it was a poor outing with the ball for the right arm quick.
