Delhi Capitals Women (DEL-W) will face UP Warriorz (UP-W) in the 15th match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 on Friday (March 8) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Capitals have won four out of five matches and are in first place in the points tally. The Warriorz have managed just two wins in five games and are in second-last place in the points table. The Capitals have already defeated the Warriorz this season in the first game.

The Capitals faced Mumbai Indians Women in their last game, where Mumbai elected to bowl after winning the toss. Delhi posted a total of 192 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Meg Lanning and Jemimah Rodrigues scored a half-century each for the tean. Rodrigues was the highest-scorer and remained unbeaten on 69 runs off 33 deliveries. Mumbai could make only 163 runs for the loss of eight wickets and lost the match by 29 runs. Jess Jonassen was the pick of the bowlers for Delhi and took three wickets for 21 runs in four overs.

The Warriorz faced Royal Challengers Bangalore Women in their last game and elected to bowl after winning the toss. Bangalore scored 198 runs for the loss of three wickets. Anjali Sarvani, Deepti Sharma, and Sophie Ecclestone picked one wicket each for the Warriorz. Alyssa Healy scored 55 runs off 38 deliveries but it was not enough. The Warriorz made 175 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 23 runs.
