The Vipers lost their previous game against ILT20 Marvels by 17 runs. The team failed to chase down the target of 139 runs and finished with 121 runs for the loss of eight wickets on the board. Tanish Suri was the highest scorer for the team and made 42 runs off 39 deliveries. Skipper Basil Hameed was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for 23 runs in four overs.
The Thunderbolts lost their first game of the season against ILT20 Pearls by 16 runs. The Pearls made 160 runs for the loss of six wickets while batting first. Abdul Ghaffar was the most successful bowler for the Thunderbolts and picked three wickets for 54 runs in four overs. In reply, the Thunderbolts were bundled out for 144 runs. No batter managed to cross the 20-run mark for the team.
