England (ENG) will be up against Afghanistan (AFG) in the 13th match of the ODI World Cup at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 15. England have done a decent job so far with a win and a loss each in their two games, while Afghanistan needs to look at their performances and have lost both their matches. They are placed fifth and ninth in the points table, respectively.
England played against Bangladesh in their last match, where Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field. As expected, England was off to a rollicking start as they dismantled the Bangladeshi bowling line-up. With half-centuries from Bairstow and Root while a sensational century from Dawid Malan, England made a huge total of 364 runs. In reply, Bangladesh could never get the start they were looking for as they kept losing wickets one after the other. Eventually, they lost the match by a good margin of 137 runs.

Afghanistan played against India in their last match, where Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat. They started decently, although they lost a couple of wickets in quick succession. The pair of Shahidi and Omarzai added 101 runs, which made it look like they would be reaching a huge total, but Bumrah came back to stop them at 272. Rohit went berserk right from the start in the chase as he slammed 131 off just 84 balls. He was accompanied well by others, and India won the match emphatically by eight wickets with 15 overs to spare.

Player Picks
Dawid Malan ENG | BAT
Malan was simply phenomenal in the last match, where he smashed 140 runs off just 107 balls. He can be one of the best choices in your team to captain your fantasy side.
Joe Root ENG | BAT
Root did not come into the World Cup with too much of recent form to his side but has turned the tables. He has smashed 159 runs so far in two matches only.
Azmatullah Omarzai AFG | ALL
Azmatullah is a good pick with the bat as well as the ball, mustering 84 runs and a wicket from two matches. He can be another good choice for the leadership position.
Jos Buttler ENG | WK
Buttler has not been able to perform to the standard he holds and has 63 runs to his name. However, he is the kind of player who can easily play a match-winning knock in any game.
Reece Topley ENG | BOWL
Topley has got to play just one match so far in the tournament, where he has scalped as many as four wickets. He is a must-have pick for your team.
Rashid Khan AFG | BOWL
Rashid has looked like the only wicket-taking option for his team so far. He has picked up two wickets in two matches and has 25 runs to his name as well.
Hashmatullah Shahidi AFG | BAT
Hashmatullah has been trying to lead his side from the front with his performances. He has scored 98 runs in two matches where he has smashed 10 boundaries and a huge six.
Jonny Bairstow ENG | WK
Bairstow was good in the last game as well, where he smashed a half-century and took his tally to 85 runs. He can keep wickets as well when needed.
Sam Curran ENG | ALL
Curran is a brilliant all-rounder of the game for them. He has scored 25 runs so far, scalping two wickets with them playing two matches.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Liam Livingstone
ENG | ALL
Livingstone has not been able to perform too well in the tournament so far. He can be left out of your fantasy team.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman
AFG | BOWL
Mujeeb has been trying but failing miserably in the recent matches. He can be avoided from your team as well.
