The first semi-final of the ECS Romania T10 2023 will witness Giarmata locking horns with UNEFS at the Moara Vlaisei Cricket Ground in Bucharest on June 30. Giarmata have won eight of their ten games and are in the second position on the table. Meanwhile, UNEFS have won six of their seven games and are fourth in the rankings.
 
Giarmata had to taste defeat in their last match against ACCB, where ACCB won the toss and elected to bat. ACCB started poorly, with their top-order batting being a fiasco in the game. But the middle order tried to compensate for it and started making runs. They tried, but the team could only set a target of 88 runs due to the constant fall of wickets. Giarmata’s bowling line-up worked very well, with J Fernando and AA Ali picking two wickets each and SA Umair getting one wicket in the first inning. Giarmata, when returned to bat, couldn’t take a flying start, and the top order collapsed very soon. With very little effort from their middle order, the team eventually fell short of runs. They, too, constantly lost wickets and thus lost the match by seven runs.

In their last encounter, UNEFS had also played against ACCB, where UNEFS won the toss and elected to bat. UNEFS started brilliantly, with both the openers, Y Jutt and M Yasir, scoring 20 runs each. The team lost a couple of wickets here and there, and could make a total of 104 runs at the loss of five wickets. ACCB started their inning on a decent note but were slow in their chase. They, too, lost wickets at regular intervals. In the end, they fell short of runs and balls, and UNEFS won the match by 37 runs.
