India (IND) will be up against Afghanistan (AFG) in the 9th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 11. India started their journey on a fantastic note, winning their first match by a good margin over Australia, while Afghanistan could not play well and lost their last game. They are placed in 5th and 7th position in the rankings, respectively.
India squared off against Australia in their last match, where Australia won the toss and elected to bat. They lost a wicket early but had a brilliant partnership for the second wicket to give Australia a good start. However, as soon as the Indian spinners were introduced, they wrapped up their batting line-up, restricting them to just 199. India had a horrible start in reply, where they had lost three wickets at just two runs. The pair of Rahul and Kohli worked hard to take India out of the storm and won the match by six wickets.
Afghanistan played against Bangladesh in their last match, where Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field. Afghanistan started off on a good note, scoring 47 runs for their opening partnership. Several of their batters got starts, but unfortunately, none could carry on to make a bigger total, resulting in a total of just 156 runs. Bangladesh did lose a couple of early wickets but had no problems whatsoever due to a 97-run stand between Mehidy Miraz and Najmul Shanto. They won the match easily by six wickets as well.

Player Picks
KL Rahul IND | BAT
Rahul was sensational in the last game as he took responsibility for sinking India and took them to the shore. He is probably the best pick to lead your fantasy team.
Rohit Sharma IND | BAT
Rohit could not perform well in the last match, but a player of his calibre won't be missing out on a chance to score two games in a row. He could be another good choice for captaincy roles.
Virat Kohli IND | BAT
Virat had a huge responsibility in the last game, where he played a knock to remember for ages. He smashed 85 runs off 116 balls, inclusive of six boundaries.
Rashid Khan AFG | BOWL
Rashid has been a star performer for his team for years now. However, he could not perform well in the last encounter but would be looking forward to having a good game ahead.
Ravindra Jadeja IND | ALL
Jadeja set the match well for India with his tight bowling. He castled three wickets, giving away just 28 runs in his 10 overs.
Jasprit Bumrah IND | BOWL
Bumrah is the spearhead of the Indian bowling line-up and regularly puts up performances. He took away two wickets in the last match, giving away 35 runs.
Kuldeep Yadav IND | BOWL
Kuldeep has been in great form in this form over the last few months. He has been continuing to do so by picking up two wickets in the last encounter as well.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz AFG | WK
Gurbaz had a good performance with the bat in the last match, as he scored 47 runs off 62 balls. He can garner more fantasy points with his wicketkeeping skills as well.
Shreyas Iyer IND | BAT
Iyer is a class player, and although he missed out in the last match, he would not be repeating his mistake again. He can be a good budget pick for the team.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Ikram Ali Khil
AFG | WK
Ikram has not been able to perform in the recent matches and can be avoided from your team.
Abdul Rahman
AFG | BOWL
Rahman has not had good contributions in some time now and should be avoided from your fantasy side.
