Preview
India and Australia will be facing each other in the last game of the three-match T20I series on Sunday (September 25) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. This will be only the second T20I game at this venue and the first since 2019. India and Australia were scheduled to play a T20I game here back in 2017 as well, however, the match was washed out due to rain. Much like this series, that was also the last game of the three-match series in which both India and Australia had won one game each.
Australia, the current world champions of this format had a great start to the series as they defeated India in the first game of the series. They chased down the target of 209 runs with 4 wickets in hand. The second match was cut short to only eight overs due to rain and India managed to level up the series after winning by 6 wickets. The Indian team have a lot of question to answer in this question and it will be interesting to see if they manage to find the right balance. On the other hand, Australia did lose the last game, however, they are in a far better position than India in terms of playing 11 and the form of the players.

Player Picks
Axar Patel IND | ALL
He picked 2 wickets in the last game and helped India restrict the opponent to a total of 90 runs in 8 overs. He also picked three wickets in the first game and has been the most successful bowler for India in the series.
Jasprit Bumrah IND | BOWL
After losing the first game, the team management pressed the panic button and Jasprit Bumrah was slotted in the playing 11 immediately in the second T20I. He did what he does best by picking one wicket for 23 runs in 2 overs in the last game.
Aaron Finch AUS | BAT
The Australian captain reached 300 runs in T20Is this year in the last game as he scored 31 runs off just 15 deliveries. This is only the fourth time in his career that he has scored over 300 runs in a year.
Hardik Pandya IND | ALL
Had India won the first game, Hardik Pandya surely would have been the Player of the Match for them. He scored 71 runs off 30 deliveries in that game and helped India cross the 200-run mark. The pitch in Hyderabad might be similar to that of Mohali and hence, India can expect another match-defying knock from him.
Virat Kohli IND | BAT
In IPL, Virat Kohli has scored over 300 runs in 9 matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at an average of 41.4 and a strike rate of 137.67 including 2 half-centuries. The team will be hoping for another batting masterclass from him in this game.
Rohit Sharma IND | BAT
He won the Player of the Match award in the last game as he scored 46 runs off 20 deliveries and helped India level the series. This has been his first award this year and the 12th overall in T20Is.
Matthew Wade AUS | WK
He has been the best batter for Australia in this series. He scored 45 runs off just 21 deliveries in the first game and followed that up with an innings of 43 off 20 balls in the last game. Australia will be hoping for another similar knock from him.
Adam Zampa AUS | BOWL
He was the most successful bowler for Australia in the last game as he picked 3 wickets for just 16 runs in 2 overs. He will be a key bowler for Australia in this game as the pitch might have something for the spinners.
Cameron Green AUS | ALL
He has been given the role of opening the innings in this series and he has done a superb job in this position. In the first game, he scored 61 runs off just 30 deliveries and picked a wicket as well. He won the Player of the Match award for this performance and Australia will be hoping he provides a similar start to them in this game.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Daniel Sams
AUS | ALL
He replaced injured Nathan Ellis in the playing 11 in the last game. However, he could not repeat what Ellis did in the first match. Sams gave away 20 runs in his spell of 1.2 overs and failed to pick a wicket.
Rishabh Pant
IND | WK
He was included in the playing 11 in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the last game. However, India might want to include Bhuvi in the 11 again as he has played a lot of matches in Hyderabad and his experience might help them in this game.
