India (IND) will be up against England (ENG) in the warm-up match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on September 30. India has been in good form recently, winning three of their last five outings, while England has been sensational as they have won four matches on a trot. It would be a good game of cricket between both sides.
Australia defeated India by 66 runs in the third and final ODI on Wednesday, preventing a clean sweep. After winning the toss, Pat Cummins decided to bat. They amassed a staggering 352 runs for seven in total as their batters went all guns blazing right from the start, but Indian bowlers did pull back a little in the last 15 overs of the Australian innings. India was knocked out for 286 by Australia's superb bowling, making it impossible for them to reach the target despite great efforts by Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer.
Philip Salt and Will Jacks both took the bowlers to cleaner as England batted first, and they had a rousing start. Sam Hain, who batted in the lower middle order, also contributed significantly with 89 runs, pushing England's total above the 330-run threshold to reach 334 for eight after 50 overs of play. Ireland made a strong start in the chase by hitting the bowlers all over the place, thanks to Paul Stirling. It appeared that Ireland was still in the match at that point, but a double strike in two overs meant they were knocked out and lost the match by 48 runs.
