Independents CC will lock horns with Hornchurch in the 6th match of the European Cricket League at the Cartama Oval in Cartama on February 28. Independents CC lost their opening game, while Hornchurch have won and lost one game each so far. Independents squared off against Darmstadt CC in their last match, where they won the toss and chose to bowl. Darmstadt batters were in good form and performed excellently with the bat. They put up a massive total of 122 runs for the loss of seven wickets, where their openers did most of their scoring. Independents were batted out of the match as they could never reach the required run rate. After the end of the second innings, the Independents could only manage to score 88 runs for the loss of nine wickets and hence lost the match by 34 runs.
Hornchurch faced Tallinn Stallions in their last encounter, where Stallions won the toss and elected to bat. Stallions put up a fabulous show with the bat as they mounted a score of 121 for the loss of three wickets. Opener Faraaz Abbas did most of the damage scoring 82 runs. Stallions would have considered the match won with such a solid target to achieve but were stunned when Hornchurch came out to bat. An even better display of batting from Hornchurch meant the total was chased down with eight balls to spare.

Player Picks
Matthew Stokes IPS | BAT
Stokes played an important role in the last match where he smashed 28 runs off just ten balls at a strike rate of 280. He is a good captaincy pick for this game.
CJ Peatfield IPS | BAT
Peatfield could not make his team win the last game but made sure that he did his best. He scalped four wickets at an economy of nine and will be a good choice for captaincy role.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Mark James
HOR | BOWL
James could only score four runs in the last two games. He should not be included in your fantasy team.
Kieran Le Gallez
IPS | BOWL
Kieran managed to score just two runs in the last game. It would be a wise decision to leave him out of your team.
