Jaipur Indians will lock horns with Jodhpur Sunrisers in the first match of the Rajasthan Premier League 2023 at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur on August 27. This will be the inaugural match of the inaugural season of the Rajasthan Premier League, which aims to provide center stage to all budding cricketers from the state.

The tournament starts on August 27, with the first match being played at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. It consists of 19 games, which would be played between six teams, namely Jaipur Indians, Jodhpur Sunrisers, Udaipur Lake City Warriors, Jaanbaaz Kota Challengers, Shekhawati Soldiers Sikar, and Bhilwara Bulls. The matches would be played at two venues, i.e., Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. The competition will be played in a single round-robin format, with all teams slotted into a single group. Every team will face the other five teams once in the group stage, followed by the playoffs.

Jodhpur Sunrisers consists of some of the most talented players of the state, which includes an International player of the name Rahul Chahar. He is accompanied by Abhijeet Tomar, Aniruddh Chauhan, Bharat Sharma, Sangram Singh, Hemant Joshi (Wk), Abhimanyu Lamba, Anshul Garhwal, and Himanshu Sharma. Jaipur Indians are not too far behind and have a strong team with the likes of Divya Gajraj, Siddharth Saraf, Sumit Godara, Rohit Khichar, Manav Suthar, Nakul Ayachi and Rajeev Duktawa. Kamlesh Nagarkoti, a national-level bowler who has played for India Under-19, would also be a part of the team’s set-up.
