They lost the eliminator match against Kandy last year by 61 runs.

Cricket Marvels LLC owned by Prem Thakkar acquired the team from Galle. They changed the name from Galle Titans to Galle Marvels. The team finished as the runner-up in their first two seasons of the LPL. They have failed to make it to the final in the last two seasons. Galle won four out of eight games last season and were in second position. They lost both the qualifiers and were eliminated from the tournament last year.
