Royals lost a wicket early in the chase of a below par total. Though they recovered quickly from it and a second wicket stand worth 87 runs sealed the game for them. They won the game easily by seven wickets with around six overs to spare.

Pretoria Capitals squared off against Durban’s Super Giants in their last encounter where Pretoria Capitals won the toss and elected to bat. Capitals went berserk with their innings as they smashed 75 runs for the opening stand 5 overs. They kept losing wickets throughout their innings but also kept the scoring rate up and as a result smashed 204 runs in the innings. Giants had a decent start to the chase but were far below the required scoring rate. They did score aggressively towards the end but it all proved to be too little too late as they fell short of the target by 17 runs.
