The Lanka Premier League (LPL) will commence its fifth edition on July 1. The Sri Lanka Cricket Association is in charge of staging this competition, and three venues will host matches during the LPL 2024. The LPL 2024 will include 24 matches and five teams: B-Love Kandy, Dambulla Sixers, Jaffna Kings, Galle Marvels, and Colombo Strikers. The double round-robin format for this edition will be used from July 1 to July 21.

The defending champions, B-Love Kandy, won the title last year after an exciting clash against Dambulla Aura. They are now set to face the Dambulla Sixers to kick off their title defense. This thrilling showdown is set to take place on Monday at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
