They had a brilliant second-wicket partnership, but the scoring rate went lower. They also kept losing wickets which did not help with the run rate as well. They managed to score 144 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Bappa had a match-winning opening partnership of 110 runs in just 10 overs. By the time openers were gone, it was just a matter of formality, so Puneri Bappa won the match by eight wickets.

Ratnagiri Jets had played against Solapur Royals in their last encounter, where Ratnagiri Jets won the toss and elected to field. Being put to bat, Royals had a decent start. They were scoring at a decent run rate, but as the game progressed, the pitch got slower, and it was getting harder to score. By the end of the innings, they posted a total of 145 runs on the board. The Jets started slowly and could not take advantage of the PowerPlay. Their brilliant middle order, however, came into the game and brought them back into the chase. They had a fantastic finish which meant Ratnagiri Jets won the match by five wickets with 16 balls to spare.
